Description
Cumin seeds organic/Jeera whole from Cuminum cyminum, are popular as a culinary spice from ancient times. Cumin seeds/Jeera whole have an aromatic odor and a spicy and somewhat bitter taste. The strong aromatic smell and its specific taste of Cumin/Jeera whole are due to the presence of volatile oil which is about 2 to 4 percent. It is mainly a mixture of cymol or cymene and cuminic aldehyde, or cyminol, which is its chief constituent.
